They don't make 'em like they used to, eh Hilda?

for a few weeks i've had this 'sister' on my mind, although she is deceased.. i've heard through the grapevine that her widowed husband isn't doing so hot, so i thought i'd share some memories...... one of my very first memories of attending kh in my old hometown was of hilda.

hilda was one of the older ones even when i was young.

i'm thinking she was in her late 60's when i first made her acquaintance.

Anyone from Minnesota?

looking for anyone from the st. cloud congregations (i was in the north one)...or surrounding areas.

It is a distant memory for me and I could only guess why congregations cannot be named after a direction. Perhaps a problem with postage delivery. I remember a postage problem with the abreviation Mpls and the Society saying it should be spelled out to Minneapolis because they had the problem of mail going to Maples, Minnesota. This was said at an Assembly about 35 years ago. I remember everyone laughing at that. I was just a kid. I believe this was before zip codes became common. The Society has many many rules and regulations. I imagine if they were all put together in one book it would look like the size of the Minneapolis phone book in NWT size fine print.

FUNNY STORY>>> I know the Deremers of Anoka. Dean and all his kids with all their names starting with the letter "D". There is a funny story about this family. When Dean Deremer was in the North Congregation the Society had some directive that the congregations could not be named after a direction like south, east etc. So the North Congregation had to choose another name. Their congregation was on the corner (at that time) of 26th (or something) and Fremont Ave. Dean an elder there was absolutely insistant that the congregation be named for the street at the other end of the block, Dowling. He argued and argued and finally all the brothers gave in even though it didn't make any sense. So Dean got to name something besides his children with his beloved letter"D". A while later after sometime members of the Dowling Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses found out that Dowling Avenue was named after Father Dowling. So the Dowling Congregation of Minnesota is named after a Roman Catholic Bishop thanks to Dean. Dean the little I remember of him isor was a rather nice fellow.

Oh! John 17:3 got to study or it means death at Armegeddon. Actually the scripture says not "taking in knowledge" but to "know God" Another changed NWT scripture to fit their doctrine of "works salvation." Man, were we brainwashed and duped.

ON MARCH 26,1918 SATAN WAS HURLED DOWN TO THE EART

"now this must have been quite the war, since we are taught that by october 1 or 2 1914, satan was waging war with michael and he was thrown to the vicinity of the earth.

that is why since 1914 we have such a short time left.....how do they get these crazy dates and how can people believe this if they really think about it?

Actually from from October 2nd 1914 to March 26 1918 is one week short of 3 1/2 years like in " Time (1) Times (2) and half a time" or 3 1/2 years. But the" faithful slave" uses that scripture to prove the arrival of 1914 but they need to double it to seven and they do that by multiply it by 2 so it will fit to "seven times." And there is other math involved too. Also WW 1 ended on November 11th 1918 seven and 1/2 months later from the time Satan hit the earth in Parump, Nevada NOT Idaho! Satan and his demons were weakened by the flue during the last few weeks of battle that is why they got kicked out of heaven a week early of 3 1/2 years. And the Spanish flue was in 1919 which I believe was caught from Satan and his infected demons. All this is so simple even a child could understand it! I'm surprised at all of you. You must not have been paying attention during the Revelation book study. Dang! we studied that book 3 times!

to illustrate.take an example such as stanley kubrick, stanley is venerated as a genius film maker, but he is venerated for only that one thing.

Never forget Russell was the seventh and last Laodicion messenger as spoken in Holy writ. He walked n company of St Peter, St Paul, Arius, Waldo (as in where is...), Tyndale, Luther. We know this is true because his pyramid tombstone says so! While those other Super cult leaders could do all those tricks Charley could come up with more dumb a$$ teachings and get people to believe it. Even getting people to sell his books door to door while they lived out of the back of a truck. Charley had the real power!
